When you’re suffering with sciatic pain, you may feel pain around the back of your legs, your calves, around your thighs. However, the injury is actually on your lower back, on your lumbar spine. So, focus on exercises that strengthen blood flow around that area.
n this 4 minute video, I’m going to give tips on how to get rid of sciatic pain.
So one of the two tips is that you must avoid forward falling. This is because the discs inside your spine are filled with a jelly-like fluid. When you have sciatic pain, the jelly like fluid is already being disrupted which can go worse with forward falling. Avoid anything with a forward bend and focus on back bends and opening the back.
The next tip is that you must avoid savasana when you have sciatica. You could practice savasana facing down, though.
Next is how you transition from sitting to standing throughout the day. The most common causes of sciatic injuries is switching immediately from a sedentary lifestyle to something out of the ordinary with legs straight, instead of bending the knees. So, it is very important that you bring in a little awareness to how your moving. You must make sure you’re bending your knees while lifting something up in order to support your lower back. Try to think of ways to strengthen your lower back to avoid strain. Incorporating yoga in your daily routine will help you strengthen your lower back.
I also have a video on my channel, that’s a sequence for sciatic pain. Let me know what you think in the comments section below!
