You thought you could say goodbye to your dark inner thighs once you were done with school. Finishing school meant that you did not have to wear their uniforms that may have exposed your embarrassing thighs. Unfortunately, it never ended there.

1. Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent that may help lighten skin.1 It also possesses acidic properties and is rich in vitamin C that may help in the production of new skin cells. Lemon juice may cause dryness to your skin; therefore, make sure to moisturize after its application.
How To Use:
- Squeeze the juice of one lemon into a bowl.
- With a cotton swab, apply it to the inner thighs or the dark areas.
- Let it remain for 20 minutes.
- Rinse with cold water and pat dry.
- You can repeat this two to three times a week.
- For sensitive skin, lemon juice may be diluted in water.
- An alternative method would be to mix 1 tablespoon of glycerin and lemon juice with 1 teaspoon of rose water. Apply this to the dark areas on the thighs and leave it overnight. Rinse off the following morning with water.
2. Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera has a cooling and soothing effect. This remedy is particularly useful when your darkness is due to friction between the thighs. Aloe vera can also make the skin soft and may effectively decrease the pigmentation issues.2

- Scrape the gel of the aloe vera leaf and apply it directly to your skin.

- An alternative remedy would be mixing a few drops of almond oil with 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel. Apply this to your inner thighs and massage gently onto your skin. Let it remain for 15 minutes; then, rinse with water and pat dry.
3. Plain Yogurt
If you have dark inner thighs due to overexposure to the sun, then yogurt may be the best option for your problem. It has mild bleaching properties and the presence of zinc in it can combat sunburns. It also gives a cooling effect to the skin.
How To Use:
- You can apply plain yogurt to the dark areas in your inner thighs.
- Let it remain for 15 to 20 minutes and then, rinse with lukewarm water.
- Another method involves 1 tablespoon of lemon juice with half a teaspoon of turmeric powder and gram flour each. Mix all these in plain yogurt and apply to the desired areas. Rinse with water after allowing the mixture to dry on the skin.
- You can apply this pack twice or thrice a week.
4. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer. So, sensitive skins may find this remedy a boon. If you have dry skin, coconut oil may double its effects on your inner thighs.

- Mix 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice with 3 tablespoons of organic coconut oil.
- Apply this on your inner thigh region and let it remain for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Rinse with lukewarm water afterward.

5. Turmeric Powder
Turmeric is a widely used ingredient or spice in Indian and other cuisines. The turmeric powder may also help with skin pigmentation issues. Cucumber juice is also an easy but effective remedy to lighten inner thighs. You can also mix it with lemon juice for better results.
