Sleep helps your brain recuperate and your body repair and rest. Keep off caffeine, sugars, and alcohol. Sleep in a pitch-black room with no gadgets nearby. Do moderate exercise for at least 30 mins, but avoid stimulating activities an hour before you sleep. A warm bath in Epsom salts or a warm drink helps trigger sleep hormone - melatonin. If all fails, do something boring or try breathing exercises.
