Becoming a parent changes every little thing in your life. It transforms you so much, especially with each child. While each one of you moms want a healthy pregnancy, it is also nice to laugh a little about pregnancy and brewing babies. Laugh out a lot reading these differences between first, second, and third pregnancies.
Worries
FIRST Pregnancy
Worry about everything! Why my baby isn’t moving? Why am I feeling gassy? Is that labor pain or cramps? Is it safe to eat? Is my baby normal? What will labor be like? It is the job of all first-time moms. You have a lot of time to worry anything and everything about.
SECOND Pregnancy
Now, that you are already a mom, you will be worrying only about your older one. Will he adjust with the sibling? How will my baby react to the newborn?
THIRD Pregnancy
There are high chances of you forgetting that you are pregnant most days. Your thoughts are about what are my kids up to while I’m relaxing on this bed? Is it ok for them to watch so much TV?
Maternity Wear
FIRST Pregnancy
The excitement that you had to try out every single garment in the shop and wear it around to show off your pregnant belly, yeah we know that!
SECOND Pregnancy
You must have probably used your first pregnancy maternity wear as long as you could and stretch the time before buying the new ones.
THIRD Pregnancy
Who said you wanted maternity clothes? You have all your normal clothes as big as maternity clothes now (it ain’t funny, we know that)
Baby Clothes
FIRST Pregnancy
Were you such an ‘obsessive compulsive disorder’ person that you washed, folded, and even ironed before stacking it in your baby wardrobe before your baby’s arrival? That’s what first pregnancy does to you! Your baby had more clothes than you.
SECOND Pregnancy
You will take all the old clothes from your older one to reuse for the second little one. Maybe one quick wash would have worked fine. Only friends and family buy new clothes for the baby.
THIRD Pregnancy
This time you just sort out the clothes according to the faded color and stains on clothes order. Probably you would have wanted to wash the clothes before stacking but ended up just in the cupboard. (pretty sure, you would have done that).
Morning Sickness
FIRST Pregnancy
All the work would have been happily done by your partner while you were lying down sick on the bed. Maybe a day or two even went by in office by taking sick leaves.
SECOND Pregnancy
Partner dotes a little less. Juggling between the first one and the second while feeling sick would have been difficult.
THIRD Pregnancy
You would probably keep doing your routine work – dropping the kids in preschool and school – while you were spewing things in a container in the car. Sleep or rest, who cares? Your partner would not even notice all these things.
Labor
FIRST Pregnancy
Every book about labor, delivery, and child birth is on your bedside table. You go to childbirth classes and get a good knowledge about pregnancy. Hospital bags are packed and kept ready in the second trimester. Practice meditation and exercise and get ready to face the D-day.
SECOND Pregnancy
Your main priority would be to take care of the older one and give your partner instructions on what should be done during labor. Maybe pack your bags with essential stuff before you reach the due date. Go to the delivery room worrying about the other kid mostly.
THIRD Pregnancy
What do you mean by preparing? Everything just happens in a flash. Before you realize you are facing the labor. Definitely, forget to pack the important things needed in your hospital bag.
Nursery Decoration
FIRST Pregnancy
Do you remember spending a lot of time sitting and thinking about colors, cots, and layout for the nursery? Yes, first pregnancy goes by with a lot of excitement. The nursery is completed within weeks and ready for the new one to arrive.
SECOND Pregnancy
Shifting the little one into his cot before the second baby arrives happen so fast. Decorations? We just say that you would move the chairs and cots and make it look like it has been done so well.
THIRD Pregnancy
C’mon ladies, what do you think nursery means? This is your third pregnancy, one room is already a play room, the other one is for your toddler and a little nursery in the corner of your bedroom becomes the bed for the newborn third one. Maybe your partner will help you out setting up the crib for the baby while you are in the hospital.
Did you enjoy reading this one while you were multitasking and attending on your two other little kids? Now get ready to face the real life and your third baby.
