Begin small. Not everyone can go ballistic like me and maintain that level, so increase your chances of success by taking it one step at a time. Below are four lifestyle rules that healthy and slim women follow. Give them 21 days, and you’ll be marveled at the difference they make in your health and body.
1. Drink A Gallon Of Water A Day
As nuts as this may seem, it’s actually quite easy as long as you space the water consumption throughout your day. If its 8pm and you just realized you’ve drank nothing but soda or only 2/3 glasses of water all day long, don’t try to guzzle a gallon down right there and then. Use your head. That would be incredibly stupid and painful on your stomach. Space the gallon out.

2. Fast For 12 Hours Every Night
I could never do a fast even if my life depended on it. There is no way I can get through my day on a diet of juice, water and a side of air. I know there’s countless of studies out there that show how incredibly awesome juice cleanses are for your health, but the last thing I want to do is to go on a fast that has me drooling over my dog’s food.
The kind of fast I talk about is a healing fast done while you rest, not while your family is having steak and potatoes and you sit there with your lemon water and cayenne pepper, or a bottle of green goop. This is the easiest, intermittent, and sustainable fast out there. This is a super simple habit to adopt. Whatever time you complete your dinner, wait 12 hours before eating again. That may be from 7pm until 7 am. Ta daaaaaaa! Come on, it doesn’t get any freaking easier than that!
This fast is more than just about curbing late night eating and preventing weight gain. It affects us on a deeper, cellular level. By fasting every night for 12 hours from the time you eat your last meal, until the time you “break” the “fast” with breakfast, your body will be incredibly restored and rejuvenated.
It takes approximately eight hours for your body to fully digest the meals from your day. Then another four hours for the magic to happen. In those four hours after digestion has been completed, your body shifts into detox or “healing” mode, and you know I’m all about self-healing.
During this time your body removes dead cells, regenerates new ones, uses up stored glucose for energy which burns off excess fat, (who doesn’t want to burn some fat while they sleep? Can I get an AMEN) and aids the brain in stress fighting by producing beta-hydroxybutyric acid, which protects you from the everyday exposure to toxins.
Fasting every night for 12 hours will do your body an incredible amount of good, and have you waking up feeling rested and energized. No water with a side of air required.
3. Eat Every THREE Hours
You are NOT doing yourself any favors by eating like a bird. Life is too damn short to deprive yourself from one of the greatest pleasures on earth: FOOD! The rate of our metabolism helps us shed weight, burn fat, and stay slim. So we want this sucker to run on HIGH! How do you do that? By eating EVERY.THREE.HOURS! When we try to eat less than an Olsen Twin, all you’re doing is slowing down your metabolism.
Your metabolism says something like this, “oh shit I’m freakeddddd out! She is not eating often. I better slow down and save all the fat I can, in case she doesn’t eat again for a while so we don’t starve!” and just like that, your metabolism slows down because it thinks it’s going into starvation mode, and instead of burning off fat, it begins to cannibalize your own muscle in an attempt to keep you running!
See? There’s a lot of damage you can do to your body if you eat less than a 5-year-old. Eat every 3 hours to keep your metabolism running hot like a furnace!
4. Get Nutrition Smart
Exercise and weight loss are usually thought of as going hand in hand. But here’s the thing, weight loss isn’t the reason to exercise. Weight loss can occur whether you work out or not. You can bust your ass for an hour every day, and quickly (like mega quickly) undo all that calorie burn in one meal. The true and permanent way to lose weight is to watch your nutrition. 75% of weight loss comes from nutrition, so get it together.
Whatever you have to do, do it! Do you need to learn what portions really look like so you can stop overeating? Go learn. Do you need to learn how to make healthy meals? Go learn. Do you need to learn what “Clean eating” even means? Go learn. Are you always on the go and need to learn healthy eating on the fly? Go learn. No matter what questions or excuses you have when it comes to nutrition, you can find the answers! It’s the 21st century and we are all on information overload.
There is no excuse for not knowing how to do something. In other words…just google it and find support.
