Oily skin is very vulnerable to bacterial infections and breakouts. However, there are some simple homemade face masks that you can apply at least once in a week to ensure that your skin maintains the perfect oil and pH balance. Ingredients like aloe vera, cucumber, gram flour, egg white and fuller's earth are totally safe and have no side-effects associated with their use.
Coconut oil is a well-known versatile all-natural beauty product. This highly saturated oil is mainly made up of medium-chain fatty acids and a small amount of mono and polyunsaturated fats. Coconut oil comes devoid of any extra water or petroleum by-products which are usually responsible for the clogging of skin pores. Instead, it works gently by sinking deep into you cells to protect your skin from a variety of skin conditions. It is best to go for the virgin variety if your're looking to apply it on your skin, though the refined variety is usually best for cooking. If you're someone with sensitive or oily skin, patch tests or a consultation with your dermatologist is recommended just to be sure of your skin's tolerance for this natural oil.
With the right ingredients, you can make an all-natural face scrub for oily skin. Start with an exfoliant like baking soda, coffee grounds, or flour. Baking soda will balance your skin’s pH, while coffee grounds will perk you up. Next, add a liquid like egg whites or aloe vera. Olive oil is great for moisturizing while removing extra sebum. You can also add an extra anti-sebum ingredient like turmeric, sea buckthorn oil, or bentonite clay.

Cool it down to use. Or infuse 1 cup water/witch hazel with 1/2 cup cucumber. Equally soothing is rose water. You can prepare it by adding 1/2 cup rose petals (fresh or dried) to 2 cups filtered water.
