1. Boston Fern
The Boston Fern is known to remove more formaldehyde than any other plant, as well as being extremely efficient at removing pollutants like benzene and xylene. The latter compounds come from gasoline exhaust, which is particularly prominent if you have a garage attached to the house. While these plants are great, they also need to be taken care of regularly and need a lot of attention. They need to be watered weekly when they are growing and monthly during the winter, so you need to be quite attentive. 2. Spider Plant
