Being a mom is the toughest job. You are constantly on call and rarely get a day off. Heck, even when we’re sick we still need to take care of our family!

Regardless of the time and sacrifices, we make for our kids, it’s all worth it. However, we need to make some time to care for ourselves.

After all, if we don’t take care of ourselves, we’ll be of no use to anyone else. When it comes to self-care, I turn to my trusty essential oils to help me out. There are many ways you can incorporate them into your daily routine.

I carry them with me, add them to my essential oil bracelets or necklace, wear them daily added to moisturizer or lotion, add them to a relaxing bath, and diffuse them aromatically.

Since I started using essential oils, I’ve ditched the expensive and harmful perfumes as well as the other body care products. It’s better for my health and saves me money in the long run.

Keep in mind that a little bit goes a long way when using essential oils, you only need 1-2 drops per application. When diluting you can use a 1:1 ratio.

Caution: Be careful not to get essential oils in your eyes, nose or other sensitive areas. Avoid sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after topical application of citrus essential oils or blends containing citrus essential oils.
