The 3 Juice Colon Cleanse To Flush The Toxins Out Of Your System

Digestive problems like irritable bowel syndrome, damaged gut, leaky bowel and chronic constipation among others are becoming increasingly common today. The increase in stress and poor nutrition all contribute to poor digestive health, and if left untreated, it can become dangerous and affect our gut health for the rest of our lives. These conditions in themselves are uncomfortable, and they can also release and maintain toxins that take a toll on the rest of the body. One of the most important organs that needs to function optimally for digestive health is the colon. It stores and controls the evacuation of fecal material, as well as digestion and absorption of undigested food. This means that the colon needs to be taken care of and cleansed out every now and then, and fortunately, this can be done at home. This involves combining 3 different ingredients in a delicious juice which can help keep the colon functioning well:

1. Lemon

Lemon has long been associated with good digestive health. Drinking a combination of lemon with warm water every morning helps to flush out toxins from the body, clear out the system and boost the immune system in the long run. Moreover, lemons contain a high amount of antioxidants that are integral in destroying free radicals that harm the cells in our body. Lemon also has one of the highest vitamin C content, which helps with white blood cell production and is extremely helpful for the body’s immune system functioning. Vitamin C also helps to keep the cold and flu at bay. Finally, lemons can also help to keep our skin glowing and fresh, boost our energy levels, and elevate our mood.

2. Ginger

Ginger has been used in the treatment of medical conditions like cholera, toothaches, hemorrhages, nausea, diarrhea and stomach ache. It also has properties that aid the digestive tract by toning muscles in the intestine and stimulating the breakdown of food particles. In this way, ginger also helps to soothe gas pain, relieves common stomach cramps, and digests and metabolizes fat content in the food. Ginger can also help in the treatment of heartburn by preventing the lower esophageal sphincter from loosening, and also kills harmful bacteria that are linked to acid reflex. Moreover, it improves the absorption of nutrients in the food we eat.

3. Apple

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, and this fact couldn’t be more true. Apples are a wonderful source of vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, potassium, phosphorous and other important minerals. Apples contain insoluble fibers which helps to hold water, soften your stool and move food quickly through your digestive system. They also contain the soluble fiber pectin which helps to slow digestion, prevent cholesterol build up and lower blood glucose levels. Both types of fibers can also help with satiety, and keep us full for longer, and prevent us from snacking or eating through the day, thus helping with weight loss in the long run.
