Turn oven on 170 degrees – if your oven does not go this low – put on the lowest setting and leave the door open. Warm the oil for 4-6 hours. Strain oil using cheesecloth, or muslin. Put oil in a small saucepan designated for herbal use. Add ¾ – 1 ounce of grated beeswax to 1 cup of oil. Keep on low setting and stir often. Once the beeswax melted, immediately pour into salve containers. You can use metal tins, glass jars, or plastic jars. Add 1 drop of lavender essential oil to each container and swirl with toothpick.
